Can't get 8.5 report to be landscape using VB6 Dev Edition

For some unknown reason I can't get Crystal Reports 8.5 Dev editon which is embedded in my VB6 SP5 to be landscape. I do have another report that is portrait but when I try to open a new report by Project-Add Crystal Reports 8.5 and include the viewer etc i cannot expand the report size from portrait to landscape. I didn't have this problem with previous applications.

Is this a bug or am I missing something?
