Can't Find www Prefix on my IIS Server 1

I am somewhat of a novice to IIS and Windows Server 2000 Advanced. I have placed several site on this server but can't find them using Internet Explorer. If I type "

http://mysite.com

the website shows up but if I type "

http://www.mysite.com"

I get "Can't find page" error.

I remember a previous post addressing this question but I cannot find it again.

Any suggestions as to how I can view

http://WWW.mysite.com?

Hey! I got it to work. If anyone else has this problem, the answer is patience. In your DNS settings "custom A" make sure you have

mysite.com

http://www.mysite.com

or

*.mysite.com

* - all text . yoursite . com
