I am trying to help a friend who messed up her normal template in word 2000. Apparently each time she begins a new document, it contains some text that was part of an old document she worked before but somehow was saved into the template. I set set explorer to display hidden files and folders and looked for the normal.dot but it isn't there anywhere. Am I doing something wrong??

I didn't go there but I did a search of the entire C: drive, wouldn't you think it would come up? I will look when I get home. Thanks!! If it isn't there, I am crazy or is there another solution?
