I am running win98se with all the latest upgrades & service packs. I recently installed Omnipage 12pro and it found the scanner did not scan. It also worked with the generic Kodak Imaging sw. All of a sudden and with no drastic changes, windows won't recognize the scanner. I see it on device manager & a small scan sw program that came with the scanner and it allows it to scan. All other proggies don't work and the add new HW says it can't find the twain device. I unloaded the progies, scanner drivers etc. reloaded, cleaned the registry etc. but still no scanner recognition. Contacted scanner manufacturer, no help. Checked forums, no help. MS site says control panel should have "scanner & camera" icon but I don't have that on my machine. Contro panel has caere scan manager 5.0 with an add a scanner button but it won't let me load the driver cause it can't see it.

Any Ideas

Hi,
How is the scanner connected to the machine?
Is there an alternative port to use, even if it is daisy-chaining it with the printer?

have you looked at the omnipage support pages?

Have you verified that your scanner is a supported model?

Have you got the problem sorted by now?

Regards.

Booting your machine seldom does it any favours.
