can't find network neighborhood

hi
when first put my router on and i setup the net work i could see my computer name in the network now i can't. any clue why? is it my nic card? it says i'm sharing something that i can't. this was set up by a friend that does this for a living and he is realy buisy. help please. what steps do i take to get the network working.

i also have another system on the network that i can't see at all, i plan on changing the nic card to something newer and start there. it also can't see it's oun computer name in the nieghborhood.
