I would use something like 9 for the TARG prompt. If TGAR is set to yes you could block trunks for getting to these recordings. Remember the default TGAR is 1 on everything. Callers in the queues would not be able to hear the recordings.

I don't see any reason that you can't dial the MUS RT.

There isn't any TARG/TGAR conflick to prevent it. Go to LD 80 and do a TRAC on your DN 7019 and post the results here.

This is a Signature and not part of the answer, it appears on every reply.

This is an Analogy so don't take it personally as some have.

Why change the engine if all you need is to change the spark plugs.

bigindian65 and tnphoneman: he doesn't have a TARG on there now, so that wouldn't prevent him from dialing the ACOD 811 as there is no TARG/TGAR match which is what would prevent the call. There must be another problem.

What I meant was TARG/TGAR shouldn't have been mentioned at all as they are not programmen and wouldn't stop him from dialing the ACOD. We don't want to confuse people with info that doesn't pretain to the problem.

What are the trunks for Route 811?

Prt you ceque and check your CFLP on your Music trunk programming,.

Are you sure your Music source is working?

If you check with your butt set as others have suggested and you got music, then check:

One music trunk must be located in each network group requiring music because Music is not supplied across groups.

To test call from a phone that is in the same group as the Music on hold trunk.

i just took a look at my switch.. your right, you have to have a mus trunk in each group... that's may have changed, all my mus trunks are on the same card..(81c rls 3)
Code:
TYPE TLST
TKTP MUS
ROUT 81

TN 052 1 05 03 MBER 4 MUS
TN 052 1 05 04 MBER 5 MUS

the change is with the CFLP.. that has to point to a conf, one per group.. as you can see i'm on loop 52, but the CFLP is in group 0..
Code:
DES MUS
TN 052 1 05 00

when i dial the acod i get mus from the miran card via the conf card in the group the station is built in.. i put that in back in 05, but it would work the same for an analog trunk card.. i do not see a place asking for card type... if i unplugged the miran, put a cot card in place, jumpered it... software would stay

not sure if MIRAN (maybe broadcast? if you have broadcast then you just need 1 trunk for up to 64 listeners...) is different but for standard Trunk music there is a limitation.

As per book:

The music trunk Terminal Number (TN) must be within the same network group as the conference circuit to which it is assigned.

i lived by that rule for years.. i do not know when it changed BUT my miran card provides music on hold for 5 groups as well as 30 pri's... we have a station from each group here in the switchroom, until i tested the moh from each group i was as sure as you are that it wouldn't work.. its' great to find the details in the book, it's just not always right
