For some reason, our system will not allow calls to area code 979 (Texas), I went to ld 90, printed out the NXX, and it appears to be there. any thoughts what my next step could/should be? Thanks as always. Jeff Bell

What happens when you dial the #? Does it leave the switch and you get a recording or do you get a fast busy and a release and try again?

1 or 0 or the area code should not be dialed" recording. We are 100 miles away (area code 615). Definitely not the case.

Compare your RLI's with another area code. Also check your FRL, normally is = to the NCOS. The NCOS on the TN should be = to higher then the FRL.

I'm relatively new at this and not sure how to go about comparing RLIs and FRL... I'd appreciate any clues.

In ld 87
"Prt"
FEAT "NCTL"
NRNG "0 10" this will print your NCOS o through 10. You can do 0 space whatever.
Now this will tell you what your NCOS's FRL is. Normally 0 = 0
1 = 1 etc.

The FRLs correspond numerically until I get to 8,9,10 and they are all 0.

I'm sorry, but I do not know how to prt NPAs. I gavve it a shot with no success.

OK, I have printed the NPAs. 1979 has a RLI2

Same as you did the NXX's. NPA is your are code and NXX is the prefix.
LD 90
"PRT"
CUST "0"
FEAT "NET"
TRAN "AC1"
TYPE "NPA"
NPA "979"
return

OK, when prt the NPA for 979, I get error ESN073.

1214 points to RLI2

Thanks Jeff, Are both of these are codes long distance? Have you verified a known good number to dial from like your cell phone for 1-979 XXX-XXXX

Yes, they are both long distance. And our rep has been using their cell phone to contact the 979 exchange. I really appreciate all the advice and help.
