I've got a network printer attached to an IP address, with a job whose status is "Deleting - Printing" and even with administrator privileges I cannot seem to delete that job and it is not letting me print anything else. The printer does not have a reset option. I turned it on/off. I unplugged the network cable. Nothing! How can I kill that job???

Stop the print spooler from services (Start, run, services.msc) and then reboot. That will restart the spooler again. Ive seen it where you may have to do it more than once.

Stop and then restart the print spooler from services. You shouldn't need to reboot. We've got a user who almost always forgets to change to default printers when she works from home. At least twice a week I'm stopping and starting the spooler. Thank goodness I don't need to reboot each time.

Cheers.

Restarting the print spooler (services.msc) did it!And I did not have to reboot. Thank you!
