I can't connect to a share on a Win2k server using the \\<machine name>\<share> that is in my login script. I can do it if I put the whole machine name: \\<name.domain.com>\<share> .

When I do this I get "New Volume P:" instead of Public on '<machine>' .

I can ping the name and it resolves it. I can nslookup the name and it resolves it but cannot do a net use ....

Has to be an issue with a network protocol but I can't figure it out..

Thanks

Do you have wins server running Pre-Windows 2000 machines require that you run wins
