I have an XP Workstation that has the latest Citrix Client (8.0) for Windows. I'm trying to run or execute a publish application (The Desktop). User clicks on the publish application and is prompted to enter their credentials. It says its connecting and negotiation, then nothing happens the client just disappears. If I try again it does the same thing it doesn't connect. I can connect with this user on any other citrix workstation. So I know its not a user issue. I tried to uninstall and reinstall to only get the same problem.

Any ideas why this is happen???

Greg

Make sure the user has write access on his workstation to:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\MSLicensing\Store

To force a TS cal to be replaced on the client,
remove this key:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\MSLicensing\Store\LICENSE00x
Then logon again.

Thank You!!!

Worked like charm. I'm not sure why I have to do this but its working now and thats whats important.

We had the same problem on some of our Web Interface clients after we installed Microsoft hotfix Q832894 - MS04-004. It appears to alter permissions related to terminal server licensing. We temporarily added domain users to the local Power Users group on new Citrix clients until the workstations obtained their terminal server licenses. After that we could remove them from the Power Users group and everything worked normally.
