I cannot get CFMX 7 to work after installation. I'm running:
Windows XP Pro
IIS 5.1
Before installing I turned of my anti-virus program (Mcaffee) and completely removed my old version of ColdFusion MX 6.1.
During installation I selected:
- server configuration
- install all subcomponents
- install directory c:\CFusionMX7
- configure web server for all IIS websites
- admin location: c:\inetpub\
At the end of the installation I get the following message:
1. Consult the Installation Guide on how to manually configure the web
server connector.
2. Ensure any firewall software blocking port 51011 is disabled.
3. Ensure the Coldfusion service is started.
4. Manually configure your web server connectors.
5. Confirm your web server and websites are started, and
6. Continue your installation by logging into the Configuration Wizard at
I am not running a firewall, Coldfusion service is running and my web server is running but the server does not recognize any .cfm files. I ran Web Server Configuration Tool, selected "Add" and got the following message:
Could not connect to any JRun/ColdFusion MX servers on host localhost.
Possible Causes:
* Server not running
- Start Macromedia JRun4 of ColdFusion MX server.
* Server running:
- JNDI listen port in jndi.properties blocked by TCP/IP filteringor
firewall on server.
- host restriction in security.properties blocking communication with server..
I also tried running wsconfig.exe from the command line and got the same result.
Help -- Can anyone please tell me how to get this installation working?
thanks,
