So we are going to upgrade to Win2K here shortly and when my brand new HP Vectra had the hard drive go out, I had to order the System Recovery Disk. They asked if I wanted 98 or 2000. The machine had 98, but I figured this would be a cheap upgrade. HP sends me a new Hard Drive and I start it from the Recovery Disk, but all I have is 16 color display. I download the latest drivers from the HP Vectra Support site (BTW the latest drivers are for Windows XP. Since it was all I could find, I went with it). I can't find an option to change the monitor/diplay except to go from 640X480 and 600X800. Either way I'm still stuck with 16 colors. What can I do? Any suggestions would br greatly appreciated.

which vectra?
I went to HP and they list 75 models of the vectra.

also, you might want to get the 98 recovery disk, (cheap upgrades usualy mean expensive fixes), Just a thought.

win2K pro dosen't like some types of hardware, and do you know the make of your video card, it would help in locating
the right drivers for it.
