I've had trouble changing a T1 PRI from network to lineside. Short of popping the T1 card (physically) out of the pbx while I remove the signal group, then change the DS1 definition, I cannot get this to change. Is there any way to maintenance a single T1 within a multi-T1 trunk group ?

Can't change DS1 without popping the card out?

Instead of changing the DS1 definition, have you attempted to remove the definition completely from the switch, then re-entering as a new DS1? If this doesn't work we might need to see what error messages you are receiving when it doesn't let you initiate the change.

What if you "busy DS1", the Trunk Group or board? Any one of those should allow you to change the type.
