At one of our dealership the guys in service can't seem to call Texas area code 432. I was there when they tried and after 3 rings it went to our main dealership also known as node 1. The dealership with the trouble was node 4. I think there's a place in the switch to allow them to dial that, but I'm still learning. Can anyone give me some direction?

Depending on what type of system you have....probably going to find it in "ars ana" the area code is probably not in there....

Try to remember in future posts to add what type of system you are asking ?? about...helps a lot !!!!

Good Luck

Lots of possibilities. Not sure what you meant by it went to the main delaership after three rings. Are you sure it wasn't ringing there the whole time?

Typically this would be in the ARS table. It determines which route an outbound call will take. Problem is there can be one ARS table or many depending on how your system is set up. Are these separate systems or multiple locations using one media server at a central location? If one MS and other locations can call the number then you probably have multiple ARS tables.

Try this,
disp locations. Find the number of the location with the problem then...
li ars ana loc #. Find the longest match for the prefix. If it was dialed long distance it will start with a 1 and have 11 digit min and max. (1432 11 11 #) but you may find 14 11 11 #. The number is the route it will take. Disp route # to see what path it is taking.

Node 4 is one dealership and node 1 is the other dealership. The call is made fron the Service Managers phone, but ends up at Node 1 which is another dealership.

Perform a list trace on the station and have them place the call and see what the trace shows for dialed numbers and routing.
