Can't add OU admins to Local administrators

Greetings all, had to ghost a member server (file and print), it was hozed with a 10010 DCOM error, anyhoos;
Sysprep does it's thing, get it back on the domain, but when I try to add OU admins to the local admins on the server I get a "domain can't be reached or access denied" error. Communications is fine all around, the Forest shows up when I try to add the OU admins, the OU admins groups shows up, I just can't add it. Right now the domain admins are local admin members, but nobody here is a domain admin.

Any AD gurus out there with a tip?
