I tried to access the windows folder and program files folder and was told that I can't access these folders.
Has anybody heard of such a thing? Is there anyway around this. I am running two computers with Internet Connection Sharing and want to get rid of the monitor of the gateway computer. If I can't access all the files on the gateway computer I will still need to be able to physically interact with both computers and I want to be able to access all of both computers with only one computer. does anybody know what I can do? Good Luck and Happy Hunting

When you say you can't access what message do you get?

The cause of no access may be the permissions the user trying to access has for the folders. Be sure the user you log onto the remote computer is established (has an account) on the target compter and has admin privliges.

Also may be something simple like:

Open Explorer on the target machine > Tools (menu) > Folder Otions > View (tab) > Advanced Settings > Hidden files and folders > check "Show hidden files", uncheck "Hide protected operating system files and folders".

Folder options can also be accessed from Control Panel > Folder Options.

Hope this helps. ----
