I want to view various videos at - and I have been watching them throughout the week.

Yesterday, all of a sudden, the site no longer works. If I ping the site, I get "Request Timed Out", and I get "Page cannot be displayed" in IE. It still works for my friends. Typing in the IP Address instead of the site name doesn't work either.

What can I do?

Is this the same site from your previous thread?

Cannot ping OR access ONE website? Others work fine...

Your comment from the above thread, "Well it does seem to be working now (first time in about a month), so that may have been it", might indicate a continuing problem with your ISP, have you spoken to them?.

Can you access the video site from your machine if you use another user profile instead of your usual user profile?

No - it's a different site. Also, the site that didn't work before gave me an error when I tried to ping it. This site acts like it doesn't exist (sometimes it goes to MSN Search when I put the web address in and it says "can't find site with the words ' in), and times out if I ping it.

The site DOES exist and DOES work though. Any thoughts.

That site is accessible to me too, I did notice some Terms and Conditions, but I doubt that would be the cause of your problems?

I can only suggest what has already been mentioned in your previous thread.

Are you able to access other sites? Have you looked at your ipconfig? I have to reset my router sometimes. Also have you tried using another browser?

I will try resetting my connection in a minute...I can try using Firefox I guess...

Have you checked your Hosts file to make sure there is no reference to this site?

Daniel.

I just had a client that couldn't reach a specific site that was a normal contact for her. After a couple of hours with MS, they had her delete her cookies. Solved her problem.

Mostlikely Micker377 has it pinned down...

Clear Cookies, Temp and Temporary internet files... then try again...

also to point another area of blocked internet sites, besides the HOST file, is the Registry...

Ben

If it works don't fix it! If it doesn't use a sledgehammer...

did you check the internet options-security-restricted sites. if you use spy-bot search and destroy and imunise your computer it places restricted sites in there. Spywareblaster will restrict sites also. There are a few baddies that will place their sites in the trusted site section of IE That might be a place to look.

Well it seems to be working after running Adaware...perhaps spyware was redirecting me or blocking traffic....cheers anyway.
