Cannot view .pes file

Our security DVR has a web based viewer. it is really horrible. Does anyone else know of another way to view .pes files that I download from it?

All I can find on Pes files is that they are Ebroidery Files whch obviously is not the case.

Can you give us the make and model of your DVR , maybe that way we can come up with a better solution. Cause I don't think pes is a common video format, more likely a proprietary format that is not commercial enough to have other viewers besides the manufacturer's.

You may wish to try VLC

it does support streaming, but I do not know if it will work with PES files...
