In word 2k you can send a doc to someone in your GAL, but I have a user that in word tries to send a doc, some other list comes up than the GAL ,to send an internial email to someone, so my question is how can word default to the GAL on exchange 5.5?
Don't know if this will help but you could try checking in the Outlook client that the default address list is set to the GAL - Word should then pick this up. From Outlook go to Tools, Services. Click the Addressing tab and from the "Show this address list first" drop down select Global Address List then click ok. If you switch back to Word you should find that the GAL is now displayed when sending a document. HTH
You need to open up your Internet Explorer. (I have Internet Explorer 6 but should be similar in earlier Explorers)
Click on Tools==>Internet Options==>Programs
From the Programs tab click the down arrow for email and choose Microsoft Outlook
Click apply and ok. Now you should be able to send from word
