Cannot record auto attendant greeting.

Dear Members,
We have an auto attendant running on our IPO 500 vs Rls 8, was working fine for the last 6 months. Today all of a sudden we were not able to hear any Greeting message but the options are working when we press 1,2,3 or when we do direct dial.

I tried to record a new message with the short code when i press 2 the system says start recording after the beep and press 2 when you finish, after this the phone quits from this and go back to normal mode. I tried so many times but its not working.

I recorded a message on the pc, converted it using gold wave and using LVM converted it again and uploaded to the memory card and its working fine. But after a system reboot again the Greeting message disappeared...

Why cant it record using the short code?
Why is the greeting message disappearing after reboot?
Also i have voice mail storage warning(embedded voice mail) How to clear this ?
 
i think you just answered your own question... there's no space for the recording?
that's probably where to start investigating. why is the card full?
What's sys status show? System-Memory Cards-System SD Card, which will show basic mem useage, and then in voicemail in sys status whether a mailbox there has LOTS of new messages?
it would have to be a huge amount tho? sounds like something silly going on.

I will do an investigation when we get the teamviewer access to site.
Is it possible to delete the voice mail messages irrespective of the users(batch delete)
 
depends how many greetings/ recordings / users you'll annoy, but prob quickest just doing a format/ recreate, upload .cfg, get users to record mailbox greetings again. how big is site? number of users etc.

Site is not too big, single IPO, around 100 normal users and 20 call CCR agents, site works 24/7 so need lots of approvals :( before recreating the card.

Will check the number of users who are using voic email, i think voice mail was enabled for less than 30 users.
Will update once i finish.
 
hmmm, there's really no good reason the card would be that full, unless there are people who don't know they have voicemail turned on ;)
make them clear their mailbox haha... you have 478 new messages.... press 4 to delete.
 
So you are using embedded voicemail and you are running CCR???
When you have CCR then you have a preferred edition license too.
Use VMPro instead of embedded voicemail.

Embedded vmail is temporary i have finished vmail pro ivr application .waiting for vmware team to prepare the servers for vmail pro.
 
OK, that makes sense (just a tiny little bit :) )
But i will not be surprised if this is the root of the embedded vm issues.

Indeed, I would run a temp vm pro on a pc/laptop then everything can be copied across to the server when ready greetings, messages, prompts etc. You can't do that with embedded :)

 
ah, that making a lot more sense... gunna try that with our test sys and see if we get similar. completely missed the CCR bit above, yes pref - advanced edition already there.
