cannot print on network printer from 98 client 1

hi i am trying to install a network printer but the name of the pinter is not in the list. I tried typing in the UNC (can a UNC have spaces between the test?) the printer appeared,I installed it, but it keeps saying user interventioned required. I had no problem installing it on a XP pro machine minutes earlier. We have a domain based network runinng wk server.

Spaces might not be the best idea. I believe 98 will have trouble finding it if the printer share name is more than 8 characters.

Have you installed the printer software on your client computer? With Windows 98, that is necessary to use whatever printer you need, even if it is installed on a server or another computer. Spaces do not matter.
