Cannot open emails forwarded as attachment

I have outlook 2003, and all of the sudden, if someone forwards an email (as an attachment) I cannot open it. I can click the little envelope icon, but not double-click it, and right-click --> open does nothing. This has never happened before.

Anyone can help me? I'd appreciate.

Is google desktop installed????? If so, that is the problem. Uninstall it. Seen it before.

yes g.desktop is installed. so i cant use google desktop and ms outlook on the same computer without this happening????????

Look on Google to see if there is a solution to make them work together. I don't personally like Google desktop (slows pc down) so I didn't bother trying to make them work together, I just needed the problem solved for a client. So, bye bye G.D. - no more problem.

If you want to keep G.D., I guess more troubleshooting is in order. Sorry I don't have that piece of the pie solved for you, but take a look at the following with some ideas to try (look at the second one first)
