cannot mount root

Go into cdrom single user mode and do a fsck on the root filesystem and find
and fix your filesystem if it is corrupted. Also did anyone do something to
vfstab?
If it cant open boot device then you may have to install bootblk:
[tt]cd /usr/platform/`uname -i`/lib/fs/ufs
installboot bootblk /dev/rdsk/c0t3d0s0
reboot[/tt]

Thanks for your advice badco,
Howerver the system wouldn't take boot cdrom -s (couldn't see device), couldn't see root either.
However played around at boot prompt "set-defaults", eventually had to power down and up again, system came back to life, now all OK. Strange. Thanks again.
