Cannot get transfer when Dial Ext while on Auto Attendant Played in Avaya IP 500 !!

Dear All,

I have setup Auto Attendant in AVAYA IP Office 500 running 5.0.26 Version ( Cannot Upgrade due to Licence Required), to get Direct Dial Number Features in latest version, might that work.

I Cannot get transferred when I Dial any Ext when im on Auto Attendant Message Played in Avaya IP 500 !!

Please let me know how do i get transfered to desire extension when i dail to my office number and auto attendant played.

A little clarification - are you trying to reach any extension when someone calls in? For example - does your message say something like 'if you know your party's extension you may dial it at any time?' If this doesn't describe your situation please give me more detail.

Let me make it clear that, Whenever any reciepient call to our Landline AVAYA IP Office 500 and Auto Attendant Message Played, saying, " Welcome to our Company, if you know the extension number, please dial now or press 0 for operator". Now when a reciepient to press any ext, its goes to 0 Reception, as per configured in Fallback Extension given Reception Ext.

Now, what I need to, whenever the reciepient dial to our office number and when played AA Message, during the message, whenever the Reciepient dial any extension he knows, it should reach to the destination. How can create the flow in AVAYA IP office 500 AA Features. Do i need to create any groups or any things to done.

Also, I want to remove and add my own Recording Message, can i do it for, will my AVAYA gets into any problems.

Also, I have VMC32 Card, which has 4 Analog Port, where i have connected 4 ISP Trunk Lines, now my question is, to how many lines the AA Message will be played, is it also played when I add extra 4-Analog Lines, if in case of total 8 Analog Lines, does my AA Message will be played.

Sir, with all dues respect, I would get trained on the system before doing anything.
This is basic 1st day of class programming....You might do more harm than good by attempting this.


 
Emedded AA has only two channels by default which can be extended to six by buying license.

Regarding you question about the AA press help ( F1 ):
Dial By Number: Release 4.0+.
This option allows callers with DTMF phones to dial the extension number of the user they require. No destination is set for this option. The prompt for using this option should be included in the auto attendant Menu Options greeting. A uniform length of extension number is required for all users and hunt group numbers. IP Office 6.0: The operation of this action is affected by the auto attendant's Direct Dial-by-Number setting.

I agree with telcomtekperson regarding obtaining some knowledge, but the auto attendant portion is not that hard to change. The easiest way to do it is to add an action code for reaching extensions; for example, say 'if you know your party's extension and want to dial it now, please press one followed by the extension number' - then make an action code for one that dials by number. The other way to do it, if all your extensions start with the same number and you are not using that digit for any other action would be to allow dial by number on the first screen of the automated attendant and then from the action tab make that number 'dial by number.'

There Is no Option Dial By Number in AA Setting Page, that might be reason for which its not transfering the caller desire extension, Im using Release 5.0.26.

Our Extension Series starts form 100 to 150

Thats what im surprise, My Prompt says, that "IF YOU KNOW THE EXTENSION NUMBER PLEASE DIAL IT NOW OR PRESS 0 FOR OEPRATOR" as soon as caller dial any extension number, he reach to repeception extension, which means....when the caller press any wish extension, its not giving any messages like invalid extension or any thing, its goes directly Fallback Extension. If I remove the Fall back extension, the line get drops.

Now, can you please let me know how can allow any caller to dial any extension during my AA Message is played and reach the destination correction.

Can I replace my Own Audio Messages with my existing Music on Hold and Please hold & Invalid Extension Messages.

On the first page of the auto attendant there should be a box that says 'direct dial by number' -check that, and then in the action code select the one your extensions start with and change that code to dial by number. For example, if your extensions start with 1 you will need to both check the box and on the action screen click on 1 and choose 'dial by number' as the action.

the other issues are not so simple; perhaps finding a business partner to help and/or tackling them one at a time would be easier :)
 
OP is running 5.0.26. To dial an extension number directly, he needs to cascade additional auto attendants to receive each keypress and finally transfer to the extension. Otherwise, the caller needs to dial a selector code, and then the extension number.

Totally needs a BP to sort things our for him, though.

I have implemented the same its worked out for me.

Instead of Blind Transfer I selected Normal Transfer and its going to particular Extension.

When I dial from outside to my office, now the calls comes to AA and can get transfer and but i have to wait for couple of second to reach any destination extension, & beep sound given, then i decided to upload the holdmusic.wav files, for which I prepared holdmusic.wav and uploaded in Manager Folder and given the path of my laptop ip in TFTP and FILE WIRTE IP in AVAYA -> System Setting and i guess its taken from there and also connected to Embededded Memory Card from AVAYA Manager Software and uploaded holdmusic.wav in AAG Folder, i dont know from where it picked up. Can you please let me know how do i remove or replace holdmusic.wav from Embedded Memory Cards.

As you know we are unable to upgrade, because its required licence to upgrade to latest version from 5.0.26 to 7.0.31.
By which I may not get latest updates and features, like BLIND TRANSFER & DIALDIRECTNUMBER. Can you please let me know is there any upgrade to which i could easily upgrade from 5.0.26 to any available free version to upgrade, instead of purchasing purchase licence to upgrade.
