I am trying to add a new contact in the Global address list but the new contact is not the users of the firm. After I have entered the email address, somehow the contact is not generated. Please advice. Thanks.
Seen this happen when the AD connector is broken. Check if you are filtering first as above. If not, reapply SP4, the AD connector installer that forms pat of SP4 and then the post SP4 hotfixes and that should cure it.
