cannot create true db grid object without license for tdgb32.ocx

I moved to another PC and installed Component One Grid 7. I'm using VB 6 with SP5. I was able to find the correct ocx file on my machine. When I open the application with the true db grid on it, it gives an error. When I try to recreate the true db grid, it says that license information for this component was not found. I went to dos prompt and did regsvr32.exe tdbg32.ocx and it said it registered successfully but I still could not use the control. I even tried creating a new program and referencing this component and it let me see the "bull" true db grid object but I could not put it on the form or I get that same error message. Any other ideas? Any patches, downloads I can use?

Did you have to include a license file when you first installed it on the old PC? Were you prompted to enter a serial key or license file during install this time?

I have APEX True DBGrid Pro 6.0 at my work and I have to install it to develop with it in the IDE, even if I have the OCX registered on the machine from another application.

Even though I have an older version than you (my company's always way behind in this area), I searched the setup files for an indication of a serial/license file, but I not find one, unfortunately.

This is a legitimate (licensed and payed for) copy you have, right?
