Cannot create relationship in query design view

I am currently using Access97 and up until a short while ago everything was running just fine.

In query design view although I can bring tables in and perform calculations on fields, I cannot drag and drop fields from table to table in order to create a relationship between the tables.

I have not tinkered with any kind of setting. The only recent thing was that I downloaded the latest version of Internet Explorer. Could that have done something?

Please if anyone can help I would be most grateful!

This is one bizarre situation! All I might suggest to you is to try to reload Access from your Office 97 disc or if you are running through a secured workgroup file (Mdw) make sure you have all you permissions...?...! Good luck and please let everyone know if you do find a solution! Gord

Thanks Gord. As a last resort I was planning to do that anyway unless anyone thinks of an alternative.
