Hi Everyone,

I need some help if you can.

We have recently started to experience a problem whereby once the CITRIX client is installed it will not connect to the CITRIX server, I get no errors no messages at all it simply brings up the connection box for about 10 seconds then disapears.

I have had this problem twice now, once on a new laptop and the other on a desktop.

Anyone any ideas?

Many thanks in advance

Make sure the user has write access on the workstation to:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\MSLicensing\Store

To force a TS cal to be replaced on the client, remove this key:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\MSLicensing\Store\LICENSE00x

Thanks for the tip.

However the key you refer to does not exist on the client machine, however it does appear on mine. That would indicate it could not create the key, any idea why?

Thanks again

>>any idea why?

If it's not security, then i have no idea.
Some people posted a "workaround" by copying a good working key on the faulty client, and have it updated by the TS license server. Other people have reported that that trick does not always work.

Good luck with it.

Hi,

Log in as Administrator of that PC and make the Users have Full Control of MSLicensing key and all it's child objects.

You'll need to use regedt32.exe to do this.

Then log in as either Admin or the user and you should get it working! With new license keys.

Cheers,
Carl.

Hi Ogi,

How to solve this issue when you have a similar problem, but the client OS is not Windows?

I have the same porblem where the published applications do not open (no error msg is displayed either). The Thin Client machine (F-Siemen's FUTRO B), I am using to connect to the Citrix server (MetaFrame XP running on Win2k Terminal Server), is a non-windows machine running eLux. The thin client and the server are both on a different subnets, with both being able to ping each other. There is a connectivity/route between them due to which the published applications can be seen on the thin client. But when you click on them to open, nothing happens.

I have a feeling its a similar TS licensing related issue. Can you please make some suggestions.

Thank you,

Regards

Hi Newbie, this is a real pain of a problem but xs4Citrix & Ogi's advice above generally sort it out all of the time.....I'll ask a stupid question though (only because the solutions above nearly "always" work), might you need to add some extra Licences' to your licencing server?
