I have o2k and cannot change page setup from portrait to landscape in an excel worksheet. I can transfer the same spreadsheet to another PC and it works fine. I can print and change orientation in other office apps. Any ideas?

I have a Windows XP computer that has a similar problem. I go to print in Excel, change the setting to landscape, and the print preview shows portrait. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the printer drivers. The printer is on a network, and no other computer has this problem. It only happens in Excel and only with this computer. If I send the document to another printer, it prints fine. If I reboot the computer, sometimes it works ok after that. I have an HP 4050 printer as the default printer. It happens just often enough to be irritating. Any ideas would be appreciated

I would try a couple of things.

Do not use the driver that is packaged with the OS. Go directly to HP's web site and get the latest version if possible.

Go to the registry:

Try re-initializing the Office keys by deleting the following key. (Back up registry first)

HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Office. (delete the 8.0 and 9.0 keys if they exist.

I had the exact same problem before. Reinstall the printer driver and the pain is gone!
