cannot activate 802.1q tab on EM

Hi everyone,

I am experiencing a little issue on EM, and I will apreciate a little help from the
community.

This the case:
System Details (1000E 4.50W SS 4.50.88)
Due to VoIP implementation settings works We need to activate the 802.1q, however when I try to mark the ckeck box "Enable 802.1Q support" on Element Manager the sign dissapears after launching the save and transfer button.

For some kind of reason system rejetcs this option, as if there is any inconsistency, but I dont know wich one. Does anyone have any Idea?

Are you trying to setup VLANs for the phones and such. The VLAN config for the phones is done on the phoneset config process when you boot the phone or in your full DHCP options.

If I am on the wrong track let me know.
 
HI atascoman,

thanks for you quick response. What we need it´s to be able to mark packets across 802.1q when Sig Serve is present. That´s why I supposed that I would need to mark te check box into SS node settings.
We know we need to define vlan´s settings directly on IPset, but we have doubts about if it´s really enough without indicating to SS that 802.1q protocol is involved in the node transactions.

Probablely we are in a mistake, and you or any other could help us. Thanks again for you interest and have a nice weekend,
