It's done with forced upgrade cards.
You do need your PC to save the current translations, convert, and restore after your upgrade.

If you are talking about creating your very own UPGRADE CARD, the software required is NOT built into the Laptop, and if and when you can find it, it costs over #300.00.
A rather large price to pay for a card you use very rarely.
I know of some folks who upgrade processors for a reasonable fee.
Of course, there's certain HARDWARE rules that should be followed.
