Hello,

I was just wondering if you could make a sub report the size of one field? I am having the strangest problem, that I won't go into detail over because it is simple mind boggling!

Thx

Jamie

It is very possible, I have had to do this to get around a problem myself.

On my sub report I have one formula that isn't even shown but it all works!

Cool thx!

But I wanted to put this sub into a sub ... and of course you can't ... that would make too much sense! I'll keep fighting with it!

Thx again,

Jamie

Hey Hey Hey (no ... it's not Fat Albert ... I just got an idea!)

I was "fighting" with it and noticed that you can print subreports on top of each other. So, you may not be able to put a sub inside of a sub, but you can overlap them and make it "look" right!

Hey...you learn something new everyday! Too bad my brain is almost full!

Thx

Jamie

Save the subreport <File/Save subreport as...>.

Then open the subreport and you can insert a subreport into it.

Thx aklein,

but the problem I'm having now has to do with the parameters that I'm trying to use to link the subs to the main. I have 2 subrpts, and I want them to execute when the main is run. I don't want the prompt box to come up and ask for the selection crit for the sub. I just want the subs to know what the main rpt's selection crit and execute to that.

If you could help a litte, that would be great!

Thx

Jamie
