Can XML be used with NT/4.0?

I want to start using XML. I'm currently programming in VB6 on NT workstations. I hear that XML is the way to go but I'm not sure if it is available for me now or do I first have to upgrade to Win/2K.

Also, can someone recommend a book for this!

I have the "VB6 XML" book from Wrox. While I haven't gotten that deep into it yet, it's a pretty good book from what I've see so far. You can visit their site for more information on their titles.

Ability to use XML is not operating system dependent. You can write programs in a variety of languages on any operating system provided you've got the right tools.

If you have: Use this package:
C/C++ compiler expat
Python XML SDK for Python
Java SDK (MS or Sun) Lark or Saxon
VBasic MS SDK (windows family only obviously)
