Can UNIX read Legato tapes

I currently know very little about Legato, however, my company merged with one that used Legato to backup their HP servers. Is there any utility that is avialable that will allow me to access the data from a Legato backup without having Legato/Networker? Tapes are DLT's and we have the drives for that.

Not directly. You can download Networker and use it in a read-only mode without purchasing a license.
