How do you generate authorization codes for long distance access for local and international calls? I'm running CS 1000 Telephony Manager Version 3.20.01.94.
Can the system when generating these codes designate them to given dn's.
Thank you
Auth codes can be used from any DN on the system. Yes the system can generate them for you but you have to assign them to the individual users. All you do is tell them what they are.
TM will not do this for you. This is one of those things that must be done from the terminal to generate the codes.
I agree, however after the codes are built, the phone TNs can be configured for "Station Specific Auth Code" It just can't be done in LD88 when generating the codes.
I need to know how the system picks the range and then gives out all codes that have not been activated example 000999 is my number. How do I get every auth. code not used between 000001-000999 and then deactivate those that are active to reissue new auth. code
As far as I remember once the auth code block has been built and the auth codes generated manually or by the system, the only way to deactivate the codes is to delete them. Basically when the code has been built it is alive until deleted. Also I believe all codes within an auth code block must be removed before the auth code block can be removed.
Dissemination of these codes is controlled. In my case I give the admin staff a list of 100 valid codes at a time from the appropriate block. The code is issued to the individual and when the individual no longer requires the code I will remove that code from the PBX.
