Can Symposium WEB 5.0 be used on IE 7.0?

Yes, as long as your patches on the Web Client Server are reasonably up to date. I believe that the patch level is SU05, but I can't be absolutely sure.
Go ahead and give it a try with a computer that has IE7 loaded -- it won't hurt the server if your patches are too old.
