Can Repair Ac2000 back end database.

I have a corrupt database that is an Access 2000 backend database. I've tried importing the ojects to a new database but it doesn't recognize it as a database. The repair starts but hangs half way through.

Any ideas ?

Look at this Microsoft Jet Comp Utility. It's designed to repair corrupt db's.

Thanks for the idea but all I get is a message saying "error compacting the database".

Take a look at JeremyNYC in this thread181-414079
it's not free but it might be cheaper than rebuilding the entire back end.

Thanks. I used their services. It was quick, fixed well and not expensive.

I have a feeling my client is giving a little more priority to a good backup protocall now .
