hi everybody, i want to know if a profile can restrict users from searching my NT network, or opening other workgroups, i only want that they be able to surf on the web, write docs (word, excel, ppt) etc etc, and share files on the same workgroup, buti don't want them to see other workgroups machines, do they?? (profiles) if so, how can i create and modify the policies on a profile..
thanks in advance
i almost forgot the pc operating system are windows2000Pro. (the ones that i want to restrict with profiles)

Sorry, but profiles are not restrictive. You need to look into group policies and user or group permissions.

Obscurity is NOT security. You should "batton down the hatches" instead of hoping they cant see other computers.

Might as well unplug the lan and make everything go through "boss approved" floppies.
