Can not ssh into PIX501!

We have problem on SSH in our PIX 515e.
SSH will work for a period of time, might be several weeks, sometime when we try to ssh into PIX, we can not, the putty client just close, after reboot pix, we can ssh into it.

I would like to know what cause PIX doesn't allow ssh connect to it after a period of time, how to fix it?

hello,

to get ssh working on the pix, you have go generate an rsa-key. it is very importaint, that you SAVE this key.
an other issue might be, that you have to setup an hostname and the right clock-settings.
if you change the hostname, you have to generate a new rsa-key.

please check this out.

i had the same issue on my pix firewall. i deleted the hole ssh-access-stuff and reconfigured it again. after that, it worked fine.
