I have a XP home laptop and XP Pro desktop and although I can see each computer on the network, I can ot see any of the shared files from either computer. File sharing is enabled, so I don't know why this is not working. Any ideas?

Can not share in XP Pro/XP home

Are you using simple file sharing? What are you trying to share? When using simple file sharing you can't share all folders. For an overview of XP's filesharing, read this:

Make sure that you turn off the firewall which is automatically enabled sometimes.
Just go to your network connection, click advanced, and make sure it's off.
That dumb barely mentioned issue kept me busy for a quite a few hours...
