hello,

I have been trying to send email to certain domain which is failing. I get this error message:

The following recipient(s) could not be reached:

elowen01@sprintspectrum.com on 7/29/2003 10:44 AM
The e-mail system was unable to deliver the message, but did not report a specific reason. Check the address and try again. If it still fails, contact your system administrator.
< eSafe@domain.com #5.0.0 smtp;Server response timed out>

I chekced with DNS record, nslookup, SMTP-settings & all others. Everthing looks fine. I also checked hosts & Lmhosts file on Win-2k Domian, both looks ok. Can someone please help? We are running all Win-2k servers on Native mode.

Check if you can telnet into that server? Think its normally port 25 for SMTP. Therefore at a command prompt
telnet serverip 25. Not too sure if this is exact way to do it but might put you on right track.

Thanks, yes I already checked it, working fine and in fact other SMTP mails are going fine. Only two domians are having problems.

Any chance that you may be blacklisted by these domains. I once joined a company that had been accidentally relaying spam due to an open relay on exchange server long before i joined it and had still been blacklisted a year later even though the open relay problem had long been fixed.
