Can not make out going calls on Analog lines

The saga continues. Friday we hung a "new" Option 11 Success 3 and went very well, so we thought.

We cannot make out bound calls on any analog line that does not have an appearance on a digital set. The TNs that work are not MARPed. Also all of the working analogs might be in a RNPG group. Perhaps the contrapositive most (all tested) non working analogs are not part of a RNPG group is more accurate.

What might I have missed when building the system?

Thanks again guys; YOU ROCK!!!

If you change a non-working to any RNPG, does it them begin to work? How about if you change it back to zero - then does it stay working? I'm wondering if just toggling the RNPG value may eliminate that corruption.

Are you able to dial internally from these analog sets/ports to other analog sets?

Are you getting reorder or dead air?

There are a lot of reasons you may be experiencing this issue. The more info you can provide, the easier it will be to help troubleshoot.

I described the problem inaccurately. Here is a TN that is working (making out bound calls) and does not have an appearance on a digital phone. It does not have RNPG set.

Sorry for the bogus description.

My revised description of the problem some of my analog TNs cannot make out bound calls. I have not found a simliarity between the ones that can and those that cannot.

Can we assume the NCOS=0 is OK with your dialing method?

Back to the RNPG - I know that sounds totally dumb, but I've seen far stranger things caused by far more obscure non-related settings in software.

Another thing worth trying is to MOV the TN to another TN, and then back again. That rewrites a few things, and may result in a working TN and no wiring change required.

The MOV method is a lot easier than OUTing and rebuilding

Yes we can make internal calls on the affect TNs. We get the reorder tone when we dial 9. We do not have NARS or BARS set; 9 is the ACOD on the only RDB built.

SpelingChampeon (hey that should be my name) - some times I am not sure what information is helpful I try to give you what I know and I try not to overlook the obvious (like what happens when we dial 9).

If you don't use BARS, you do not really want CLS CTD. CTD and CUN are really for BARS dialing plans.

Without BARS, CTD=TLD
Without BARS, CUN=UNR

So, you want either UNR or TLD if you don't plan on using BARS. CTD/TLD will stop you from dialing 1's or 0's on COT routes.

Try setting to UNR?

Probably not it. I have UNRs that both work and don't work. I also have CTD that will dial out.

Can you post a working digital set as a reference please?

Here is a working digital -

One thing I see in the 2 posts of working analog TNs is CLS FAXD. In the post of a non-working analog TN, you have CLS FAXA. I'm not sure this is the problem but it might be worth looking into. Try changing TN 1-0 to CLS FAXD.

Thanks guys, so far making that change is working.

As an offering of penance I give you this (old) joke -

Definition of an upgrade: old bugs out, new ones in.

If you build a generic analog TN from scratch, do they work? Is it only the "existing" TNs that don't work?

I'm leaning towards corruption. I take it you have power cycled the thing already (make sure to do a backup first)

Keycodes!

I once had a situation like this, and thought it was corruption. What had actually taken place was, the system I was working with had 500 sets with CLASS programming. After an upgrade, it was found that Nortel did not include any licenses for CLASS sets. We had to have Nortel send us another keycode with the CLASS TN upgrade, install the keycode and reload the system after hours.
