I have an otion 11c but cant not log in. the customer changed the passwords. how can I retrieve the passwords

If the customer changed the password, you will need to get someone who knows how to get into PDT to get them. The procedure is different for the software release so someone has to have the process for the software release you are on. Nortel or perhaps your technical support should be able to get them for you. Nortel will charge you, however.

last time i had nortel recover a password (10 years) it was a 2000 dollar dial in.. might check GHTROUT"S web site, he does background work and if he can't do a recovery, her knows someone that can..

Last I checked, it was $200 for Nortel to recover the password. One less zero.

not after BellSouth marks it up..

You could try a couple of the default paswords that may still be set. try 0101 or 0000.
I have found that many of my sites I still have these.

0101 sounds better. I will check it up. are there any other default passwords?

Now this is confusing, if all the default passwords are 0000, is there any other user ID other than LOGI admin2? I have tried LOGI p/w 0000 nothing works.

What version software is your option 11?
later ones are named login.
ie: logi admin1 pass xxxx

the way to find out if it is named login is after you have attempted to login you get an OVL428 message.

Even earlier switches needed caps lock on.
i believe that succn 4.5 also now needs caps lock

I have never recovered a password for someone I could not physicaly see. There are a number of people that will do it. It's just that I am terrifcially "exposed" on the Internet.

There is a fair chance someone may contact you off-line, but I am not saying your shold should break the "don't post your email address". You could do what I do in my Sig line...
