can not delete mailbox

we have a mailbox that we can not open when we double click on it within the exchange manager. the message is:
an internal processing error has occured, etc, etc.

we can not delete it either. we do not have this problem on any other mailboxes.

i have run eseutil and defraged the database but still can not delete the mailbox.

does anyone know how to force delete a mailbox or even better how to resolve the problem.

Have you tried a DS/IS Integrity checker? Think this should delete any orphan mailboxes.

Sounds like directory or store corruption to me. Are your nightly online backups completing okay?
