Hi! my packard bell pulsar c300+ desk top sometimes displays the message "OPERATING SYSTEM NOT FOUND" after seekihg advice i have been told to restore the entire configuration to factory settings. But after following the instructions to the letter all i get is a black screen and in the top left hand corner of the screen is the following: Q:\setup>- PLEASE HELP this has been happening for two weeks now.

ur system may be looking for your oem cd-rom, during boot insert the CD. But if u have a cd u baught from the shop (Retail CD from PCworld or places like that) Just type:
?:\Setup.exe
(? being your cdrom drive name)
If you have a IBM system, APTIVA maby this has happened to me :p, just get a format Floppy and the System CD. If you donot have the Retail edtion of your OS then dont try it, but if you are like me you will do it anyway.
If you payed the exta tech help fee (inshurence <Crap at spelling btw :p> ) Call them and say a friend done somthing by accdent and they will fix it. If you dont have the tech gods like us living on your street :p look threw your local newspaper or yellowpages and look from computer repairs.
