This is bizarre. Okay, here's my home setup:
Server 2003 w/AD
Custom OU's with my users, groups, and computers; GPO's configured to redirect My Documents to a share on the server.
One Win XP Pro workstation
One Apple iBook
Now, here's my problem: just starting today, I can no longer access the My Documents folder while logged onto the XP machine. I can access that, and all other network shares that I have permission to, from the iBook. The error I get on the XP box is "access denied." The only thing I changed recently was to swap out the network switch. Like I say, everything still works normally except for this one issue. I can still access other shares from the XP box.
I reset the XP computer account, removed and added it to the domain, but that didn't do anything. I'm considering deleting my user profile on the XP box and then logging back on to create a new one, but I'm not sure what that will do to all of the files and folder in My Documents. Will they remain on the server even if my local profile is deleted on the XP machine? Also, if you know that this will not fix my problem, and know the solution, please let me know.
Thanks a lot for your help!
Mike
