This is a very common things and free search engines for your site can be found all over the internet. If you are running a Unix box, search for a CGI Search Script. For Windows, try ASP. "Leave me alone, I'm new."

try using the search facility that atomz.com offer. It's good for indexing and searching through a bunch of static pages and it's free. They'll also give you a monthly breakdown of popular search words and phrases.
Thanks for the reply, But is there an alternative? as the small print in the Atomz agreement says that they can have some sort of copyright on content on your own pages????
Skip over to Google then and use their facility. It's used a lot in ASP application sites that I've visited and it has the ability to search both your site and the web by the click of a radio button.
I agree that Atomz have taken things a little too seriously, I haven't actually used them recently but maybe you'll have better luck with google.com!
