Can i use an excel template when exporting

I'm running several BO reports which export data to an excel spreedsheet using: report.exportasrtf("filename" & ".xls&quot

This works fine but i'd like the reports to do something when they are exported or altenatively i'd like to export the reports to an existing excel workbook, creating a new worksheet. Does anybody have any ideas?
