Anyone know if its poss' to set a diff printer as the default for office apps other than the one specified in windows printer folder(?)
Example - Windows defaults to HP Deskjet895 -BUT- have all office applications default to laserjet 5P....
This would prove VERY helpfull, if anyone knows reg entry,
office key or some such such I can set for this.
(Running OS - XP, Office XP)
Many thanks.

To my knowledge, no.

But in most of the Office apps, you can easily record a macro that'll switch printers for you.

You COULD store those macros in:

Excel: personal.xls file
Word: normal.dot file

And make them on-open events that'll switch to that printer.

Do you know how to record macros?
Do you know how to change the code for these purposes?
Lemme know.
