I know that Caller ID is available with a CLID analog line card and with a PRI T1. But is it available with a DTI T1 with inband Caller ID?

yes in a way. Although it is not caller ID, it is ANI or number only. What you have to do is have the lines configured as DNIS and Activate ANI. Also make sure that the carrier has the ability to do this. Some older carriers cant do this.

I'll share what we learned the hard way about caller ID name and number service on an ISDN-PRI. We have a Modular ICS with a 6.1 feature cartridge. The PRI is connected to a Spectrum Preferred Module (SPM) in a Nortel DMS-100 central office. We pay our local carrier $100 per month for name and number services.

After a week of service we noticed that we were not getting caller ID numbers on many of the incoming calls and we were not getting any names. This was because our local carrier was using using the NI-1 protocol and had not turned the name services on.

They had to take the PRI down while the translations department changed the protocol to NI-2 and enabled the caller ID name and number services. This was scheduled after normal working hours and took less than 30 minutes to accomplish and test.

To answer your question, caller ID name and number services are available on ISDN-PRI circuits, however, there may be additional charges.
